"Spring Robin" - Postcard

This week's Sunday Postcard Art theme was "Spring".

Spotting the "first" Robin of the season is one of my signs that Spring is here, where I live in Connecticut, US. Some years, I have seen the "first" one in early to mid February. This year, I didn't see one until the Ides of March (March 15, 2026). This season's Winter has been particularly harsh here.

I created this using GIMP 2.10.38.

The vintage images are from an Internet search. (See the side of my blog for links.)

Featured in the weekly sampler.

  4. Your American Robins are larger than our Eurasian ones but I always enjoy seeing robins.
    A nice card.

    All the best Jan

  5. Anne, what a beautiful piece to celebrate Spring! We get your Robins down on the Gulf Coast when they migrate in Fall and we see them all Winter, so I guess when we see less of them, then it's Spring for you! xoxo
