My wife just mentioned to me that she has bookmarked an online performance of "The Nutcracker." I have lost count of the number of live performances I have attended over the years, but in 2020 on line will be just fine. Last night we watched Handel's "Messiah", not out of any religious conviction, but simply to enjoy the glorious music, as we have done for so many years, dating right back to childhood really. Miriam joked that the Hallelujah Chorus had better not be playing while we had dinner or we would have to quit eating and stand up!
