Red-breasted Mergansers - Photograph

This is 2 of 6 posts of photographs that I took in the Ash Creek Open Space walking area in Fairfield, CT this past week.

There were at least two groups of Red-breasted Mergansers swimming around. A few times there were brief confrontations between some of the males.

    I occasionally see Mergansers in the Adirondacks.

    I'm not sure we have those in the UK - they're very dramatic around the head area!
