Woodpecker - Photograph

I took these photographs of a Woodpecker in my yard in May.

The second photo was a perfectly timed shot of the bird taking off from the bird feeder. Usually my photos of birds taking off end up being of the bird feeder only, and nothing else. ;-)

    I've noticed quite a bit of variation in the amount of red that extends over the face of this species.
