This is 1 of 4 posts of photographs I took this past week at the reservoir in Easton, CT. The first photo is my best ever of a Great Egret! I was thrilled I was able to time this shot perfectly. There were turtles in the foreground of these shots.
The first photo is my entry for the following:
Camera Critters #277
I'd Rather Be Birding
Weekly Top Shot #93
Great shots!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
ReplyDeleteIsn't he a wonderful looking bird. You got some great shots of him Anne, and turtles too. Looks like a lovely area. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.
ReplyDeleteIt is cool you were able to include the turtles. Beautiful captures of the Egret.
ReplyDeleteWow! that first one in flight is magnificent and it's so difficult to capture birds while flying. These are exceptional shots.
ReplyDeleteLovely shots of the egret Anne.
ReplyDeletewe call these herons - not seen one this year yet though
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Thank you for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteThose egret shots are gorgeous. Love the greenery of the habitat.
ReplyDeleteVery impressive pictures of a beautiful and majestic bird ... your timing, as you said, was perfect to catch him stretching his wing. And I have to admit, my eyes were so glued on the Egret, that I would have missed the turtles if you hadn't pointed them out ... Great pictues!
