"Chevron Art" – Postcard

This week’s Sunday Postcard Art challenge was “Chevrons.”

The vintage bird and stamp images are from an Internet search. I created the chevron pattern and backgrounds using Earth tones, after seeing a few examples of Chevron Art that I liked. I spent too much time on this, and struggled to create it.

    You've certainly succeeded in creating a lovely artwork, Anne, the whole piece is beautifully balanced with all the shapes and elements. I really like the way you have made the chevrons in those unusual colours and we don't often see quill pens these days.

    You sound unhappy with it but I like the colors and putting the heavier elements at the top is unexpected and gives it interest. And that's what challenges are for anyway - to make you work at it LOL. Good job.
