"Travel / Adventure" - Postcard

This week I have the privilege of being the guest host for the Sunday Postcard Art challenge. I chose the theme "Travel."

I started with a map for the background. Then I added the stylish, adventurous woman with her travel bags / luggage and golf clubs. Lastly, I added her travel destination cities.

On a personal note, I started entering the Sunday Postcard Art challenges in February / March of 2009, which is how long I’ve had my blog for. I’ve grown as an artist because of SPA, and I've met many nice, helpful people on there. Early on, I was thrilled the first time I made it into one of the weekly samplers for my butterflies piece. I'm glad Mandy has kept the challenge going all of these years, and that participants have been able to help her do that.

I created this using GIMP 2.8.22.

The vintage images are from an Internet search. (See the side of my blog for links.)

I love your postcard for Travel! I’m hoping for more playtime. Not being a digital artist, time is so elusive for my hands on postcard art. This has always been one of my favorite blogs. Although I don’t get to participate much, I would miss it desperately if Mandy stopped challenging us. Postcard art is my very favorite.
