This week’s Sunday Postcard Art challenge was "Alter A Postcard."

I started with this free Red Roses Easter Postcard. I cut out just the postcard, and enlarged it to fit on a 6" x 4" postcard. I added a vintage page as the underlying background, to cover the full postcard size. I used sponge brushes to cover over most of the text on the original postcard. Then I added the foreground images and text.

I created this using GIMP 2.8.16.

"Bruce Jenner to replace Daniel Craig as 007!" - Postcard

© All Rights Reserved

According to one of Glamour Magazine’s 2015 Women Of The Year Award winners, Bruce Jenner, "The hardest part about being a woman is figuring out what to wear."

Because Bruce Jenner continues to make a mockery of women, transgenders, and homosexuals, while he fattens his wallet with profits from his self promoting activities, I have started making cartoons featuring him. And in case you were unaware, Bruce Jenner has still not had the inversion surgery.

-----

In a bold move, MGM Studios announced they have signed Bruce Jenner to star as 007 in their next James Bond movie, replacing actor Daniel Craig, who has balked at reprising the role.

The opening scene of the movie will show Jane Bond (formerly known as James Bond) leaving a hospital after his/her gender confirmation surgery (which Bruce Jenner still has not had).

Bruce Jenner's daughter Kylie Jenner will play a Bond girl.

Studio executives denied any nepotism was involved.

"Rumors that there is some kind of quid pro quo arrangement with the Kardaeshian Klan are false," a studio executive told reporters.

This week’s Take a Word challenge was "Twosome/Pair/Duo."

I have two sets of pairs:  a pair of birds (2x), and a pair of theatre masks (2x). I also wanted this piece to illicit a feeling of ordered disorder. But I think the end result borders on a chaotic mess, instead.

Lone White Dogwood Flower On Ground - Photograph

I took this photograph on Saturday, May 07, 2016. It had rained and/or been cloudy here for a week by then. My Dogwood tree was flowering. I noticed this lone white Dogwood flower on the ground. Apparently Nature struck it down. I got my camera and took a few photographs, and then the rain started. This year I did not take any photos of my flowering tree.

"Bruce Jenner Named Victoria's Secret's First Freshman Trangel of 2016!" - Postcard

-----

To borrow from a cliche, "I'm in a bad place right now." And what better way to deal with it than to make cartoons lampooning Bruce Jenner?

I made a cartoon depicting Bruce Jenner as one of Victoria's Secret's 2016 Angels. To borrow from another cliche, the sky is the limit for him, isn't it? So I've decided to start bestowing well deserved awards and jobs on him in my cartoons.

I used fish fins for his wings, so they aren't truly wings. However, using fake wings seemed appropriate, because he still has not had the inversion surgery, so he isn't truly a woman.

I'll bet all of you pro-LGBT people are laughing hysterically at all of the SNL skits mocking Trump, aren't you? So don't be a hypocrite, and criticize my cartoons! Or are you from the "Don't Be Mean!" crowd who have an asterisk after that saying, because it's okay for you all to be snide when talking about Republican candidates, Catholic Priests, etc., isn't it?

And please don't further display your ignorance by assuming I must be "anti-LGBT." If you think that, then you must agree with former President George W. Bush, and view the world as Black and White: as you are either "with us" or you are "against us." Unlike you all and G. W. Bush, I view the world as shades of gray.

Like I said: I'm in a bad place right now. And my tolerance for hypocrites is zero at the moment.

-----

Meet Victoria's Secret's first freshman trangel of 2016!

Because it's all about self-identity, not anatomy!

Kaitlyn Kardaeshian (formerly known as Bruce Jenner)

We hired him because he is the most qualified person, and not because of his last name, just like we did for his daughter last year.

"Bruce Jenner Named MLB's 2016 Cy Young Award Winner!" - Postcard

© All Rights Reserved

According to one of Glamour Magazine’s 2015 Women Of The Year Award winners, Bruce Jenner, "The hardest part about being a woman is figuring out what to wear."

Because Bruce Jenner continues to make a mockery of women, transgenders, and homosexuals, while he fattens his wallet with profits from his self promoting activities, I have started making cartoons featuring him. And in case you were unaware, Bruce Jenner has still not had the inversion surgery.

-----

During the award ceremony, an open microphone overheard Bruce Jenner saying, "I was hoping to have a wardrobe malfunction like Amal Clooney did at the Cannes Film Festival, but Julia Roberts was unavailable to be standing next to me, laughing like a hyena."

His agent replied, "That's just as well. We don't want the walking brain dead to discover you still have a P down there, and not a V."

Major League Baseball (MLB) Commissioner Rob Manfred defended the decision to present the Cy Young Award, normally given to the best pitcher in the American League and National League, as a single trophy to Bruce Jenner, for the 2016 season.

"Rumors that there is some kind of quid pro quo arrangement with the Kardaeshian Klan are false," he told sports reporters.

When questioned about the fact that Bruce Jenner does not even play on any Major League Baseball team, he replied, "So what? He received Glamor Magazine's 2015 Woman of the Year Award when he is anatomically a male."

In a related development, Boston Red Sox fans were accused of being anti-LGBT for objecting to Bruce Jenner appearing in what looked like a vintage Boston Red Sox uniform. Fans claimed they objected because he does not play on their team, but social media roundly vilified them as being narrow minded bigots.

"Sports Illustrated Summer 2016 Cover - Bruce Jenner Bares It All!" - Postcard

© All Rights Reserved

According to one of Glamour Magazine’s 2015 Women Of The Year Award winners, Bruce Jenner, "The hardest part about being a woman is figuring out what to wear."

Because Bruce Jenner continues to make a mockery of women, transgenders, and homosexuals, while he fattens his wallet with profits from his self promoting activities, I have started making cartoons featuring him.

Each time I think this charade can't get any worse, Bruce Jenner is given yet another accolade by yet another magazine and/or organization.

In case you missed the news, Bruce Jenner "will appear on a summer cover of Sports Illustrated wearing "nothing but an American flag and her Olympic medal," a source reveals in the latest issue of Us Weekly."

My cartoon is an advanced copy of the summer cover of Sports Illustrated featuring Bruce Jenner, I mean Kaitlyn Kardaeshian, I mean Caitlyn Jenner, wearing nothing but an American flag and his Olympic medals.

Here in the United States, we have the First Amendment, and one is allowed to have an opinion, as long as it agrees with the collective. The summer issue of Sports Illustrated will prove, beyond any doubt, that "the Emperor has no clothes." But the collective will vilify anyone who says so.

The collective doesn't want the hive to know "unimportant" facts like the fact that Bruce Jenner has still not had the inversion surgery.

Stick a fork in the United States. It is done.

The scene: The 2016 Time 100 Gala at Lincoln Center on April 26, 2016 in New York City.

Bruce (bats fake eyelashes and smiles):

I want to thank Time for naming me one of the 100 Most Influential People of 2016.

Wayne Maines said about me "letting America see you in such a vulnerable way is daring and admirable — not self-serving" and he was so right! That is why I kissed Candy Cane on my show, and why I still have not had the inversion surgery.

But my heroes are Kelly and Wayne Maines. When their son was only 2 years old, they started dressing him in skirts. Because of the courage of people like them, today our most important topic of discussion is which bathroom males can use, and not how many US soldiers came home from Iraq in body bags this week.

"Uncle Sam Enforcing Pro-LGBT Stance" - Postcard

© All Rights Reserved

On May 4, 2016, President Obama's Department of Justice (DoJ) sent a legal notice to the Governor of North Carolina that House Bill 2 violates Title VII of the United States Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972.

In other words, Uncle Sam is ordering North Carolina to allow male sexual predators to enter women's bathrooms, changing rooms, locker rooms, etc. And to those of you who are about to vilify, slander, and libel me for that statement, re-read what I just wrote before you do. Then look at and read my cartoon. Then go take this test, and get back to me.

They say a picture tells a thousand words. I wish that were true, but it is no longer the case here in the United States.

At first I tried a subtle piece, Hen and Fox.

Then, after reading about hypocrite Bruce Springsteen boycotting North Carolina, I made my "take this test" piece, which I thought explicitly showed the point. (I actually mailed that postcard to the Governor of North Carolina. I hope he received it, but for all I know, one of the "Don't Be Mean!" hypocrites threw it in the garbage before it got to him.)

Yesterday, when I read the news about the DoJ, my first thought was... well, I better not write anything else about my thoughts. So, I made this piece.

My piece shows Uncle Sam rushing toward the women's bathroom, carrying a bayonet, saying, "You will let them in!" Two men are following him.

It provides the definition for transgender:

trans·gen·der

denoting or relating to a person whose self-identity does not conform unambiguously to conventional notions of male or female gender.

Both "trans·gen·der" and "self-identity" are highlighted. Arrows go from "self-identity" to the two men, with the caption:

These men meet that definition.

The caption at the bottom of the cartoon is:

Do you get it yet? Or did IQs drop sharply in the US?

"Breaking News! Jenner Endorses Trump" - Postcard

Here in the United States, we have the First Amendment, and one is allowed to have an opinion, as long as it agrees with the collective. And one can get fired, for free speech, if one criticizes the Corporate Elites, which is what happened to cartoonist Rick Friday.

-----

The scene: CBS News room, followed by view of Bruce Jenner wearing his "Can't Say That!" dress, standing outside of Trump Towers in New York City.

Scott Pelley (sitting behind CBS Evening News anchor desk):

We interrupt your regularly scheduled program to bring you Breaking News! Bruce Jenner, I mean Kaitlyn Kardaeshian, has endorsed Donald Trump for President! Let's go live, to hear what he has to say.

(Switch to Bruce Jenner camera live feed.)

Bruce (bats fake eyelashes and smiles):

Trump let me use the women's bathroom at Trump Towers, so I am endorsing Trump for President!

By the way, Ted, nobody got molested.

It is better to allow 100 male sexual predators to enter the Women's Restroom and Changing Room, than to deny access to one male who self-identifies as female.

I know there is a special place in Hell for women who don't vote for Hillary, but I'm still anatomically a male, because I didn't have the inversion surgery yet.

I created this for Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of 2016 - May challenge.

I mimicked Tim's steps to create my tag, but I made mine somewhat differently than his. I included the intermediate steps, to show how I made mine.

I created this using GIMP 2.8.16.

The vintage images are from an Internet search. (See the side of my blog for links.)

Because my artwork is digital, and Tim Holtz's challenge is intended for people who buy his products, I don't usually post my tags on his site. So far this year I have been entering his challenge, but I receive few, if any, comments from all of the other artists who enter his challenge. So this will be the last time I post my link to his challenge. I will continue making tags for his challenge, but not post them on his site.

Updated note: I tried to post my entry on his site, but it was automatically deleted after appearing in the "inlinkz" initially.
