"James Dean / Taylor Swift / Style" - Postcard

This week's Take a Word challenge was "Black and White."

I made a piece based on the song Style by Taylor Swift. ("You got that James Dean daydream look in your eye." I love that song!)

I started with another white washed background that I had made first. Then I added the song lyrics, text, and the image of James Dean.

I looked into contacting Taylor Swift, to send her a link to this post, but there does not seem to be an easy way to do that. By choice, I am not on Twitter, Facebook, etc., so the alternative is snail mail. But she gets thousands of fan letters every day, so why bother? While I like her music, I'm not a "follower/fan" kind of person. And people send her letters, not art postcards, so mailing this to her would be pointless.

Note to Taylor Swift: I made this art piece for personal use only. If you do see this post and object to it on copyright grounds, please leave a comment (or use the Contact Form) and I will remove this post.

I created this using GIMP 2.8.16.

The vintage images are from an Internet search. (See the side of my blog for links.)

The fonts are:

Jane Austen
Primitive
Rakesly Bold
