Male Hooded Merganser Taking Flight - Photograph

This is 2 of 2 posts of photographs that I took at Burying Hill Beach in Westport, CT this past week.

These are two different Male Hooded Mergansers. While I was taking photos of one group of Mergansers, something startled them and they all took off in flight. I barely caught the male as he took off. The water spray to his left is from a female.
