"Beltan E'en and the Kelpie" - Postcard

This week’s Sunday Postcard Art challenge was "Fish."

I used some poetic license on this one. My piece is actually focused on Beltan E'en and the Kelpie. The tragic ending results in the maiden being carried down to the bottom of the sea, where the fish swim, and where she drowns.

I created this using GIMP 2.8.14.

The vintage images are from an Internet search. (See the side of my blog for links.)

The words are from the poem "The Kelpie of Corrievreckan" by Charles Mackay.

The font is Benjamin Franklin.
