Green Heron Pose - Photograph

© All Rights Reserved
This is 1 of 8 posts of photographs of birds that I took at Lakeview Cemetery in New Canaan, CT this past week.

I was thrilled when this American Bittern Green Heron flew into the pond where the Great Blue Heron was. I got many great photographs of him, and had to pare down what I posted to only a few of them.

This photo is my entry for the following:

Camera Critters #282
I'd Rather Be Birding
Weekly Top Shot #98

(Note: There are three more posts of this Bittern Green Heron.)

(Updated 2013 Sep 01: This is a Green Heron, not an American Bittern.)
