Lake Mohegan Cascades

It’s easy to find beautiful natural settings around here, without needing to travel very far. I read about the Cascades at Lake Mohegan in Fairfield CT and went there for a walk today. With blue skies and temperatures in the mid 70s (~23 °C) it was the perfect day to go exploring. Many people were out walking their dogs and enjoying the day.

"Script" - ATC

© All Rights Reserved
This week’s Think Monday – Think ATC challenge was “Script.” I know the focus was supposed to be on the actual writing (script), but these words from Revelation drew a vivid picture in my mind. However, I don’t think I captured it successfully. Also, I created this multi-headed dragon but I’m not happy with my end result. I used several images to create it and morphed pieces together, but it didn’t come out too good. I need to practice morphing images together or find a tutorial on how to do it.

This week’s 4x4 Friday challenge was “Observations” which meant Open Theme. I wanted to make a multi-headed dragon but I’m not happy with my end result. I used several images to create it and morphed pieces together, but it didn’t come out too good. I need to practice morphing images together or find a tutorial on how to do it. I used medieval illuminated manuscripts for the background images.

Tiger Cub

Well, he’s not really a tiger cub, but he looks and acts like one. This is the new addition to my family. He weighed 1 pound 1.5 ounces when I got him and my vet estimated he was 6 weeks old. He’s a flash of energy but he’s also a cuddly purring machine. He’s 9 weeks old now and this Friday he gets his first shots (vaccines) which will probably conk him out for the remainder of the day.

Dancing - Postcard

© All Rights Reserved
This week’s Mixed Media Monday challenge was “Past Loves” where the theme is something you used to like to do, but don’t do much of anymore. I loved going out dancing. I went out any opportunity I got. Unfortunately I haven’t done that in awhile. One great dance song currently on the radio is “I Like It” by Enrique Iglesias, whose lyrics I used in this.
